Garden Gate

This is my submission to the January ABS challenge.  I decided to call it Garden Gate as the necklace has the keys to the Garden Gate.

The brown ribbon woven into the green chain reminds me of a trellis.  I added the green rose beads with copper accent beads to side of the necklace to evoke the image of flowers growing on a trellis.  I used the same beads to create the earrings using silver flower earstuds.  The finishing touch was the toggle clasp with a flowers on each part.

Inspiration: Trellis by William Morris, 1862, a wallpaper pattern sold by his company.

Bridal Jewelry

I received pictures of the bride and bridesmaids wearing the necklaces I made.  Apparently the bride received many compliments on the necklace.  She is such an amazing bride my necklace had a beautiful canvas.

I love how the green bridesmaids necklace popped against the black dresses.  I think the long green stems of the flowers also helped the necklaces stand out.

Here is a closeup of the bridesmaid necklaces:

Gatsby Flapper necklace and earring set

The Gatsby Flapper is the piece de resistance of my Gatsby collection.

I created a pair of earrings to match with handmade earwires and briolette (wire around the black teardrop).

Keeping up with Just Fabulous

These earrings are from my Gatsby collection.  Other items from the collection are on my facebook page.  I was just about to publish them....

...when I saw the earrings from Just Fabulous. It seems that I am keeping up with the trends.

Festive Inspiration

All of the parties for both Christmas and New Year's inspired my new Gatsby collection.  Yes, its name comes from the F. Scott Fitzgerald book The Great Gatsby whose central character throws amazing parties. The era of the book also seemed appropriate given the art deco quality of this collection.

Below are the images of the first necklace from the collection and several sets of earrings.  I handmade the earwires.  More pieces to comes.

The lovely part about this necklace is that you can attach the lobster clasp to any link so you always have the perfect length.

These earrings go great with the necklace.

If the above earrings didn't catch your fancy than the ones below should.
